Былы палітвязень, а цяпер палітычны эмігрант.
Нарадзіўся ў Менску ў 1973 годзе, доўгі час пасьпяхова кіраваў буйным
бізнэсам. У 2020 годзе адкрыта падтрымаў народныя пратэсты і трапіў
пад ціск рэжыму. Быў арыштаваны і зьмешчаны ў турму, дзе пачаў весьці
дзёньнік і рабіць першыя запісы для будучай кнігі.
За час адбыцьця тэрміну ягоны бізнэс быў зьнішчаны. Ён ператварыў
турэмныя нататкі ў тэкст, які стаў асновай кнігі. Пры першай магчымасьці
эміграваў у Эўропу, дзе адважыўся надрукаваць свой аўтафікшн «Раз два
тры чатыры два» — пра пратэсты, пра крымінальны артыкул 342,
пра жыцьцё ў зьняволеньні і тое, як выжываць пасьля.
Новы і складаны для Беларусі час адрадзіў забыты жанр турэмнай
літаратуры і, нажаль, зрабіў яго зноў актуальным.

Criminal Code Article No. 342 of the Republic of Belarus is a sentence for thousands of Belarusians. It is used to convict people for participating in the protests of 2020. ABOUT THE AUTHOR
 
Piotr Umanski
 
A former political prisoner and now a political эмигрант.
 
He was born in Minsk in 1973 and for many years successfully ran a large business. In 2020, he openly supported the public protests and came under pressure from the regime. He was arrested and imprisoned, where he began keeping a diary and making the first notes for a future book.
 
During his imprisonment, his business was destroyed. He turned his prison notes into a text that became the basis of the book. At the first opportunity, he emigrated to Europe, where he decided to publish his autofiction “One Two Three Four Two” — about the protests, about Criminal Code Article 342, about life in detention, and about how to survive afterwards.
 
A new and difficult time for Belarus has revived the long-forgotten genre of prison literature and, unfortunately, made it relevant again.
